Hongkong-based Nature Element Capital recently set up first RMB fund in clean energy field in Chongqing. With an initial size of RMB250M, the fund targets at the investments in clean energy, clean-tech, energy efficiency and waste disposal, etc.

    It is reported that the fund is among the first batch of funds initiated in compliance with the Emerging Industry Venture Capital Program drafted by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and Ministry of Finance (MoF), and has been given financial supports by the NDRC and MoF. The investors include the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, Chongqing Technology Venture Capital Guidance Fund, large state-owned energy investment companies, as well as powerful private investors in Wenzhou, Shanxi and Shanghai.
